NATALIE PORTMAN
“BLACK SWAN” AWARDS CAMPAIGN
The role of a lifetime and the campaign that brought it to life.
Natalie Portman starred as the leading role in Darren Aronofsky’s “Black Swan.” The once-in-a-lifetime role and recognition for Portman was ten years in the making, the production and timeline were stalled more than once, and the campaign goals were set high. While Tamar had worked on dozens of film releases and award campaigns over the course of her career, this one was special and unique in so many ways.
A stunning performance, powerful creative assets and marketing materials, and an opportunity to disrupt the entertainment industry. Film festivals, critically-acclaimed reviews, magazine covers, television appearances, feature stories, personal appearances, endorsement deals, events, and finally award nominations and global recognition for a body of work dating back to the remarkable age of eleven when Portman began working in Hollywood.
A thoughtfully crafted awards campaign was developed by Tamar to shape Portman’s image and strategically determine the path that would lead to an Oscar. Tamar was there every step of the way, alongside a brilliant team, that worked together to achieve the highest honor to celebrate the craft of acting, ballet, and the arts.
