YMCA OF LONG ISLAND

100th Anniversary Campaign

100 Years of Transforming Lives

The YMCA of Long Island has been the cornerstone of the community for more than a century. Incorporated in 1919, the Y continues to serve children, teens, adults, families, and seniors with high-quality programs and services that nurture youth development, foster healthy living, and inspire social responsibility. The Y welcomes people from all backgrounds and circumstances, regardless of one’s ability to pay for a membership. They break down barriers by providing financial assistance to access programs such as child care, swim lessons, summer day camp, health & wellness, chronic disease prevention & recovery, mental health services, and so much more. To commemorate 100 years of transforming lives, Tamar developed and executed a comprehensive marketing campaign that included advertising creative, paid media plan, member engagement opportunities, fundraising appeals, regional and local publicity, digital and social media marketing, promotional items, and the largest gala event in the organization’s history. To mark the future of the Y and position it for the next century, the Capital Campaign and the opening of their newest facility, the Huntington YMCA Jorge Family Healthy Living Center, provided the community with the first of its kind, 30,000 square foot space for fitness classes, barre studio, yoga studio, indoor track, gymnasium, teaching kitchen, and STEM lab.
